Content Policy

Last updated 2026-07-23

1. Purpose and scope

This Content Policy describes what may and may not be created, uploaded, imported, generated, approved, published, linked, or displayed through websites and services created with Efficio (the “Platform”). It applies to Owner Content, Generated Content you approve or use, Published Sites, source-link imports, images, reviews, testimonials, links, metadata, structured data, AI-search resources, and communications routed through the Platform.

EFFICIO MARKETING LLC enforces this policy to keep the Platform lawful, trustworthy, secure, and safe for Visitors, owners, third parties, and Efficio. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

2. You are responsible for your content

You are solely responsible for all content published on or through your website, including content generated by or suggested through the Platform that you approve, publish, export, copy, or otherwise use. You must review all content before publication and keep it accurate, current, substantiated, complete, lawful, and appropriate for your industry and jurisdiction.

You must have all rights, licenses, permissions, consents, releases, notices, and substantiation required to use text, images, logos, names, likenesses, reviews, testimonials, source-link material, business facts, prices, offers, credentials, and third-party materials. Efficio may provide drafting, import, and optimization tools, but those tools do not transfer legal responsibility for your content to Efficio.

3. Truthful marketing, reviews, and testimonials

You may not publish or use content that:

  • is false, deceptive, misleading, incomplete in a material way, or likely to confuse Visitors;
  • makes claims about services, prices, guarantees, availability, credentials, licenses, results, reviews, ratings, or rankings without reasonable substantiation;
  • uses fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, AI-generated reviews presented as real customer experiences, or reviews from people who did not have the stated experience;
  • uses insider, employee, family, paid, incentivized, affiliate, or materially connected endorsements without clear and conspicuous disclosure where required;
  • suppresses, distorts, or threatens reviewers in a way that would make a review presentation misleading or unlawful;
  • misrepresents emergency availability, response times, location, service area, professional status, insurance, bonding, certification, or regulatory approval; or
  • copies competitor content, confusingly imitates another business, or impersonates another person or entity.

4. Prohibited content and businesses

You may not create, upload, import, approve, publish, link, or promote content that:

  • is unlawful or facilitates unlawful goods, services, conduct, transactions, or evasion of legal requirements;
  • infringes, misappropriates, or violates intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, contract, or other third-party rights;
  • contains malware, phishing, credential-harvesting, exploit code, deceptive downloads, or other security threats;
  • promotes hate, harassment, threats, violence, doxxing, exploitation, or discrimination against protected or vulnerable groups;
  • contains sexual content involving minors, non-consensual sexual content, sexual exploitation, or content that is otherwise illegal or abusive;
  • facilitates fraud, scams, identity theft, financial abuse, deceptive lead generation, illegal telemarketing, spam, or unauthorized communications;
  • promotes dangerous, counterfeit, stolen, restricted, or illegal products or services;
  • contains highly sensitive personal data unless the collection and publication are lawful, necessary, and approved by Efficio in writing where required; or
  • creates a material risk of harm, legal exposure, provider enforcement, payment-provider action, search-provider action, or reputational damage to Efficio or others.

5. Regulated and sensitive claims

Regulated businesses and sensitive industries must ensure that all content satisfies applicable professional, advertising, licensing, disclosure, recordkeeping, accessibility, privacy, and consumer-protection rules. This includes medical, wellness, health, legal, financial, insurance, tax, real-estate, emergency, child-related, age-restricted, food, alcohol, cannabis, gambling, transportation, and professional services.

You may not use the Platform to provide medical, legal, financial, tax, emergency, or other professional advice unless you are legally authorized to do so and the content complies with all applicable rules. You may not claim guaranteed outcomes, regulated credentials, official endorsements, urgent availability, or specialized expertise unless those claims are true, current, and substantiated.

The availability of a template, business type, form, field, generated suggestion, or third-party integration does not mean that Efficio has approved the Platform for a regulated workflow or verified your compliance. HIPAA-covered, consumer-health, child-directed, biometric, financial-credential, government-identifier, precise location, emergency, and similarly regulated uses require Efficio’s express prior written approval and any separate compliance agreement before collection or publication begins.

6. Images, logos, source imports, and third-party materials

If you choose to provide a source link during onboarding and your business already has a website, you must link to that existing website. If this is the first website for your business, you may instead link to a business profile on another platform or a page with search results related to your business. Any source link you submit must be relevant to your business, and you must make sure the content you direct Efficio to capture and use is up to date to the best of your knowledge and that you have the necessary permissions and legal rights to use it to create your Efficio website.

You may not upload, import, rehost, crop, edit, publish, or approve images, logos, reviews, snippets, names, likenesses, or other third-party materials unless you have the rights and permissions required for that use. A public URL, search result, source website, social profile, or AI output does not by itself give you permission to copy or publish material.

Efficio may remove or disable content that appears to infringe rights, violate provider rules, expose Visitors or third parties to risk, or create legal or operational exposure. You are responsible for replacing removed content with lawful alternatives.

7. Personal data and sensitive information

You must not use the Platform to collect, request, publish, or expose protected health information, financial account credentials, government identifiers, children’s data, passwords, precise sensitive-location data, biometric identifiers, or other highly regulated data unless you have confirmed with counsel that the use is lawful, Efficio has expressly agreed in writing, and all required compliance terms and safeguards are in place before collection.

You must not publish private personal data about Visitors, employees, competitors, reviewers, or third parties without a lawful basis and any required notice or consent. Lead data must be used only for lawful business follow-up and must not be sold, misused, scraped, or used for unlawful marketing, telemarketing, SMS, email, or profiling.

If unsupported regulated or highly sensitive information is submitted, you must stop using it through the Platform, avoid placing it in public content or optional AI and marketing workflows, take reasonable steps available to restrict or delete it, and notify Efficio where assistance, preservation, reporting, or legal review may be required. You must not design a Published Site for children or knowingly solicit children’s data without Efficio’s prior written approval and a separately reviewed compliance process.

You must not use location information to stalk or harass a person, infer sensitive traits, geofence sensitive locations, make unlawfully discriminatory eligibility decisions, or conduct tracking or profiling that requires notice, consent, or controls the Platform does not support. You must not add GPS or precise-device-location collection without Efficio’s prior written approval.

8. Security, abuse, and platform integrity

You may not use content, links, embeds, forms, domains, CTAs, or integrations to:

  • probe, scan, overload, bypass, interfere with, or compromise the Platform or Third-Party Services;
  • hide malicious redirects, deceptive links, cloaking, spam pages, link farms, or search-manipulation schemes;
  • misuse lead capture, Call Confirmation (also called call tracking), billing, spam reports, analytics, free allowances, or platform automation;
  • harvest personal data, credentials, phone numbers, email addresses, or payment data without authorization; or
  • evade suspension, takedown, rate limits, provider rules, payment rules, or other enforcement measures.

9. Enforcement

Efficio may review reported, risky, automated, or publicly visible content, but has no obligation to monitor all content. We may refuse to generate, import, host, publish, promote, route, or restore content if we believe it violates this policy, the Terms, the Privacy Policy, law, third-party rights, provider rules, or the rights or safety of Visitors, owners, Efficio, or others.

Where content creates risk, EFFICIO MARKETING LLC may act in its discretion to remove content, disable assets, unpublish or suspend a site, restrict account access, remove domains, disable CTAs or Call Confirmation, stop lead capture, notify affected parties, preserve records, report conduct to providers or authorities, or terminate service. We may act immediately where delay could create legal, security, operational, financial, consumer-protection, or reputational risk.

You remain responsible for content even if Efficio does not detect, reject, or remove it. Efficio’s decision not to enforce this policy in one instance does not waive its right to enforce later.

10. Reporting and takedown

If you believe content published with the Platform violates this policy, infringes your rights, misuses your personal data, or creates legal or safety risk, contact support@effic.io or legal@effic.io with the website address, the specific content or URL, your contact information, and a description of the issue so we can investigate. Copyright complaints should follow the copyright-notice instructions in the Terms of Service.
